Julia Farr Youth Mentoring Meet Up
Julia Farr Youth Mentoring is celebrating the school and uni holidays with a Meet Up for young people living with disability.
The event is for Mentors (aged 18-30) and Mentees (aged 11-18) already in our program, and other young people wanting to join.
There will be talks, fun activities, prizes and pizza. You can also join our new Livewire group while you’re there! You can bring your mentor or mentee, a friend or a support person if you like.
Feeling lonely and want to make new friends? Come join the MDM Club for free. Our Club members include people with autism, depression, anxiety, mental illness, blindness, deafness and many other disabilities.
Jocelyn Neumuller is a member of Julia Farr Youth and a Peer Mentor. Jocelyn will talk about the Livewire group and all the fun features you can access. Jocelyn will show you how to use the forum so bring your tablet or smart phone and you can join up on the day.
Truffy Maginnis works for the South Australian Health and Community Services Complaints Commissioner’s Office as the Less Silence – More Safety Project Officer. Truffy wants to hear from you how people living with disability keep safe and what it takes to stand up for yourself when something goes wrong.
